Erlton is a highly accessible neighbourhood in Calgary. There are so many road options to get to and from Erlton. Macleod Trail, for example, bisects Elrton from noth to south. The area is also bordered by Spiller Road to the east and Mission Road to the south.
Elbow River is also to the north and west of Erlton. Elbow River is a popular destination among Erlton residents and other Calgarians. The river serves as the focal point of the surrounding pathways. The river itself is popular among canoers and rafters. Or people simply have a picnic in the area and do a bit of swimming as well.
The neighbourhood was established in 1906. Northwest of Erlton is where the famous Calgary Stampede is held. Also located at the northern area of Erlton is Repsol Sport Centre, which is where a number of athletes train.
