Windsor Park was established in 1940 and annexed to Calgary in 1951. It is bordered to the north by 50 Avenue S and to the south by 58 Avenue S. To the east of Windsor Park is Macleod Trail with Elbow River located to the west of it.
There are a lot of activities in Windsor Park. Residents can surely canoe and raft at Elbow River while others can camp and hike along the pathways. One will also find Chinook Centre just southeast of the neighbourhood. The centre is the largest shopping mall in Calgary.
Another great thing about Windsor Park is it's very active community association. The organization hosts children's art classes and yoga for seniors. Windsor Park is also home to the Calgary Golf and Country Club, Providence Child Development Centre, St. Anthony's Church, and First Evangelical Church.
