Bel-Aire is home to some of the bigger houses in Calgary and was annexed to the city in 1954. Six years later, it was officially established as a neighbourhood. It is located east of Glenmore Reservoir and Elbow River.
Bel-Aire is a perfectly serene neighbourhood with a lot of greens and some pathways. These keep the residents active as they can hike, jog, run, or bike within a safe and secure environment. For the golf enthusiasts, the Calgary Country Club golf course is just north of Bel-Aire.
Bel-Aire is served by a private school, Christopher Robin School. Using Elbow Drive, downtown Calgary is just six kilometres away from the neighbourhood.
