Residents of CFB Currie are very proud of their "Currie Life." The land where the neighbourhood stands used to be a training ground for the Canadian Armed Forces as they prepared for World War I.
The community is still young and is continuously growing and developing. But even with many developments, a lot of historical buildings are being preserved to ensure that future generations will never forget the community's past. Among these building's are the Bennet Building, Officer's Mess Hall, and Parade Square.
CFB Currie is bordered by 33 Avenue SW to the north, Crowchild Trail to the east, and Sarcee Road SW to the west. The CFB Currie Calgary Community Association is very active in making sure that residents, especially the children and the youth, always have fun activities when they are not in school.
