Established in 1959, Chinook Park is a lively neighbourhood with lots of things to do. It is bordered by Glenmore Trail to the north, Heritage Drive to the south, Elbow Drive to the east, and 14 Street W to the west.
With Chinook Park being surrounded by major roads, it is very accessible. Downtown Calgary is just a few kilometers away and a number of hiking trails via Weaslehead Flats is just nearby. The neighbourhood is also in close proximity to Heritage Park, which is Canada's largest history museum.
In terms of education, Chinook Park is served by Chinook Park Bilingual Elemnetary and Henry Wise Wood Senior High.
