Connaught was established in 1905. It is a large neighbourhood bordered by the railway corridor to the north, 17th Avenue to the south, 4th Street to the east, and 14th Street to the west.
It's a convenient place to be in as 17th Avenue and 4th Street are commercial districts where people can eat at hip restaurants and shop essentials and the latest in fashion. There are also a number of specialty stores within the community.
History buffs will like Connaught as it is home to Lougheed House, which is considered the lone surviving grand sandstone prairie mansion in Canada. It is also a popular events centre. One will also find Devenish Block, which used to be a building, in Connaught.
