There are no cougars at Cougar Ridge. What you will get are really wonderful views of nature as it is located on a ridge where residents can enjoy the gorgeous skyline of downtown Calgary. The neighbourhood has an elevation of 1,235 meters.
Cougar Ridge was established in 2001, six years after it was annexed to Calgary. It is bordered by Old Banff Coach Road to the south, 69 Street W to the east, and 101 Street W to the west.
One will also enjoy the beauty of Paskapoo Slopes when in Cougar Ridge. This natural land formation provides wonderful hiking and biking trails. Just near the Paskapoo Slopes is the Canada Olympic Park, a ski hill and multi-purpose training facility. There is always something to do at Cougar Ridge.
