Located at the foothills of Rocky Mountains, Didsbury is the halfway point between Calgary and Reed Deer. It’s proximity to the Rockies make it an ideal place for the adventurous lot. The place is also quite accessible with Alberta Highway 2A and Queen Elizabeth II Highway just nearby.
Didsbury is named after a suburban area in Manchester, England. It was founded in 1894 but settlement came slow. Development started pouring in with the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway. By 1905, Didsbury was incorporated as a village and as a town a year later.
