If you want great views of the Rocky Mountains, you'll find it at Hounsfield Heights / Briar Hill. The community was created on an escarpment, which is why you can enjoy the beauty of the Rockies as well as downtown Calgary.
Hounsfield Heights / Briar Hill was annexed to Calgary in 1906. It was officially established as a neighbourhood in 1953. The area is actually bordered by a lot of major Calgarian roads. The Trans-Canada Highway borders it to the north while Crowchild Trail is to the west. Commuters are served by Lions Park CTrain.
Residents is served by the Briar Hill Elementary School. The community association has its own centre where events can be hosted in the large hall or the smaller meeting rooms.
