Lynx Ridge is just a small community in Calgary. It is a mainly a residential subdivision within 88 hectares of land located at the western edge of the city. It is mostly home to affluent families, so expect glamourous homes within the subdivision.
The neighbourhood was established between the late 1990s to early 2000s, but it wasn't until 2005 that it was annexed to Calgary. Lynx Ridge has an amazing view of the mountains and the Bow River, which borders it to the south. Bow River is one of the major rivers in Alberta and it starts at the famous Canadian Rocky Mountains.
While the small community doesn't have its own public greenery, it does have the Lynx Ridge Golf Club, which is a large golf course that is also a popular events place in the area. Since Lynx Ridge is at the city limits, its main road is the Twelve Mile Coulee, which borders the neighbourhood to the east.
