MacEwan Glen is a low-density suburban community that was developed starting in 1982. The neighbourhood is named after John Walter Grant MacEwan, who became the 28th mayor of Cagary (1963-1965).
The neighbourhood enjoys access to the Nose Hill Park, which borders it to the north. The park is one of the largest urban parks not just in Canada but the whole North America. Major roads also border MacEwan Glen like Country Hills Blvd and Shaganappi Trail.
MacEwan Glen is situated at an elevation of 1,150 meters. It's a quiet community surrounded by basic community amenities like shopping centres and good schools. There is also a lot of natural open spaces in the neighbourhood.
