Mayfair was established in 1957, just a year after it was annexed to Calgary. It is bordered to the south by Glenmore Trail, a major expressway in Calgary. To the east of the neighbourhood is Elbow Drive.
West of Mayfair is Glenmore Reservoir, which is a reservoir on the Elbow River. It was Sam Livingston who gave the reservoir the name Glenmore. Livingston, of course, was an important figure in Alberta's history.
Mayfair is one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in Calgary. It has a lot of trees, yet Mayfair also has all that you need like shops and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also near world famous Heritage Park.
