Mount Pleasant is situated immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, a major road that traverses all 10 provinces of Canada. Mount Pleasant was annexed to Calgary in 1910 and was established as a neighbourhood two years later.
The neighbourhood is also bordered by Confederation Park, which is located north and west of Mount Pleasant. Confederation Park is an urban park that has picnic tables, toboggan hills, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and pathways for walking and biking. The park definitely makes it pleasant to live in the aptly named neighbourhood.
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance from Mission. Jubilee Station, which caters the CTrain, is also nearby.
