Olds is an agricultural-based town. It’s quiet and peaceful and you’re sure to find lots of trees and greenery. Poplar trees are popular in the town and so are wild grasses. There is also an abundance of canola and barley.
Incorporated as a town in 1905, around nine years after its establishment as a village, Olds is situated on the Calgary-Edmonton corridor. It is very accessible as it is surrounded by major roads. For one, it is at the intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 2A. The Canadian Pacific Railway also runs through Olds.
