A quiet place that is never lacking in fun activities, that's basically the briefest description of Ranchlands. It officially became part of Calgary in 1961, but it wasn't established until 1977.
There are so many things to do in the neighbourhood that provides basketball courts, skating rinks, tennis courts and various other sports fields for its residents. There are at least three strip malls as well as various restaurants that reflect that many cultures present in Ranchlands. There are also various places of worship representing the pluralism of religion in the area.
Ranchlands also has access to the major Calgarian roads that border it: John Laurie Blvd (north), Crowchild Trail (south), Sarcee Trail (east), and Nose Hill Drive (west).
