Shawnee Slopes was named after the native Shawnee people. The neighbourhood is bordered by James McKevitt Road to the south, Macleod Trail to the east, and Evergreen Street SW to the west.
To the north of Shawnee Slopes is Fish Creek Provincial Park, which is a natural forest. The creek flows and joins Bow River in the eastern part of the park. It is one of the largest urban parks in the entire North American continent. The park is a great place to walk, hike, or bike.
Shawnee Slopes is characterized by rolling prairies. It's definitely a dreamy place to live in. But outside the green space, you also get convenience. There are a lot of retail centres and hip restaurants close to Shawnee Slopes.
