Strathmore is situated along the Trans-Canada Highway, which just makes it a very accessible town, whether you are going or leaving. It was founded in 1883, incorporated as a village in 1908, and as a town in 1911.
Currently, Strathmore is an agricultural town. There are also several activities geared towards oil and gas explorations. Whilte it can be considered a bedroom town, Strathmore is also home to a number of chain restaurants and stores.
