Located at the eastern edge of Calgary, Taradale is near the Calgary International Airport. It's a convenient neighbourhood for those who travel a lot. North of the neighbourhood is Taradale Drive. The area is also bordered by 64 Avenue N to the south, 68 Street E to the east, and Falconridge Blvd to the west.
Taradale was annexed to Calgary in 1961 but it wasn't until 1984 that the neighbourhood was established. Residents of Taradale can easily access Downtown Calgary but the community has all the facilities and amenities they need. It is serviced by a few schools and has an active community association.
There are two ponds in the neighbourhood that provide a nice and comfortable place for residents to gather. At the northeastern part of the neighbourhood is Taradale Lake, a beautiful body of water that also has volleyball and and other facilities.
