Temple is part of the four-neighbourhood cluster known as The Properties. Incidentally, Temple's original name was The Properties. It was annexed to Calgary in 1961 but wasn't established until 1977.
The neighbourhood is just south of Calgary International Airport. The airport, Downtown Calgary, and other places are accessible from Temple because it is surrounded by major roads. McKnight Blvd, for example, borders the town to the north while 32 Avenue N borders it to the south. To the east is 68 Street E and 52 Street E to the west.
The Temple Community Association, which also helms the Temple Community Centre, is an active organization. It hosts bingo events while also offering important support systems for the youth and seniors.
