This neighbourhood is named after the famous Italian region. The Calgarian Tuscany was established in 1994 and is located at the western edge of the city. It is one of the more densely populated neighbourhoods in Calgary, and for good reasons.
Tuscany enjoys both city and rural life. You can have the view of the splendid Calgarian foothills while also feeling the fast-paced life of the downtown core. There is access to the LRT and bus routes in Tuscany that could take you to the nearby recreational centres--and there are plenty of them, from shopping centres to a diverse selection of restaurants.
Tuscany is bordered to the north by Crowchild Trail and Bearspaw Dam Road to the south. The Stoney Trail is to the east while the Twelve Mile Coulee Road is to the west.
