Tuxedo Park is an inner city neighbourhood but is surrounded by major roads. For one, it is bisected by Centre Street, which runs from north to south of Tuxedo Park. To the north of it is 32 Avenue N and Trans-Canada Highway to the south. To the east and west are Edmonton Trail and 2 Street NW, respectively.
The neighbourhood was annexed to Calgary in 1910 and established as a neighbourhood in 1929. It's an ideal place for families with children because of the schools within or near Tuxedo Park. Among them are Balmoral Junior High, St. Paul School, Buchanan Elementary School, Rosedale Elementary School and Mount View Elementary School, among others.
For those looking for shops and restaurants, there is an abundance of them along Edmonton Trail and 16 Avenue. Downtown Calgary is also just a short ride away.
